What is AgentsOnly?
AgentsOnly is a professional community run on slack for real estate agents in the UK. Our objective is to encourage & improve communication between agents in order to:
- Assist with deal making & deal progression
- Encourage collaboration & referrals between agents
- Build trust between agents and agencies
- Improve communication between seller / buyer & landlord / tenant representatives
- Speed up transaction timescales
- Share knowledge & best practice
- Improve communication of off market opportunities and buyers agent requirements within the professional community
- Develop a representative voice for the industry

- Have fun

Who can join?
AgentsOnly is open to Sales Agents, Lettings Agents, Buyers Agents & Relocation Agents as well as their admin staff and other select members of the property community. Members may only join with their professional email address. Members may not join using a public email provider (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, outlook etc).

Who can’t join?
AgentsOnly is not open to the general public.

How do I join?
Community membership is by application via our website. Simply submit an application and once we have carried out a few quick checks you will be emailed directly with a link to subscribe & gain access to the community.

NB: Membership of the community is provided & maintained at the express discretion of the administration. Their decision is final.

Overview:
This community has been created as a professional space in order to benefit those working within estate agency and associated businesses in the UK. It is not a social media platform, as such please do not post commentary as if it is. If you want to have an argument, use twitter, if you want to post cat pics use Instagram. Please remember that if you are posting to a public channel everyone will be able to see what you write. Remember not everyone will agree with you or “get” your sense of humor.

Slack enables members to create private groups where you can join together with your friends, “banter” is best kept within these channels. It is possible to delete posts, if you post something to the wrong channel, delete it and if necessary, apologies.

Whilst we would not expect there to be commentary within the community which should offend, members do not have an automatic right not to be offended. The real estate community is a wide and varied place, with agents from all walks of life and generations. Accordingly, what might seem offensive to one person may be normal language to others, try not to get indignant about it.

The above notwithstanding, we will not accept members who deliberately engage in derogatory behavior or abuse towards others. Racism, homophobia, discrimination, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated. Members may report messages to administrators, either directly via Slack or via email to admin@agentson.ly . Members who are found to have engaged in derogatory or abusive behavior will be suspended for a period of 1 month, if they are reported again then they will be removed from the community altogether.

AgentsOnly does not allow anonymous users, as such you should conduct yourself within the community as if you are engaging with others face to face. Users found to be impersonating another individual real or fictitious, will be removed from the community.

Your Profile:
Every member has a profile and you will be required to fill out your profile upon sign up. Profiles should be professional & your display name must consist of your first name followed by your surname. You should also provide a telephone number (this can be your company landline if you do not wish to provide your mobile). In addition you must upload a photograph.

How to post:
Slack is a business version of whatsapp, it is designed for short snappy chat like messages. Messages can be sent either to individuals (Direct Messages) or to groups of individuals as you might pull together (Group Messages). In this regard it is almost identical to whatsapp. Unlike whatsapp slack enables you to message within a channel. Public channels are listed within the app and are preceded by a #tag i.e #clubhouse, #jobs, #offmarket. Messages posted within a channel are readable by all members of that channel. In addition, you can create a private channel, where you might invite a large group of individuals, such as your office or a collection of agents involved in a particular deal as an example. Posts in private channels cannot be read by those not in the channel.

What to post:
AgentsOnly is a professional portal for residential property professionals. Posts in public channels should related to industry specific topics. I am sure the community will be delighted to hear about your victories and successes as well as support you through your challenges and tribulations. Ideas and observations on the market in any given area as well as questions relating to issues you might be struggling with, from strange leasehold matters to the finer points of a structural report, chances are someone in the community will be listening and willing to help.

Unlike social media, there are rewards for getting the most "likes", it will not win you more followers or "promote" your post within the community. As such try not to show off or pile on within your responses to your own posts or posts just from your colleagues.

Please try to ensure you post within the correct channel. If you would like us to create a new public channel, please do just request it by messaging the admin and we will review.

Off Market:

You will see that we have an #offmarket channel within the community. You can post directly to the #offmarket channel. You should be sure to include critical information such as the local and postcode, as well as a brief description and the price point. If you have property particulars or imagery you can also post this as well. Be sure to include key words that those searching for an off market opportunity might be likely to search for (examples are pinned within the channel).

Touting of Member's Stock:

Members are not required to provide the full address for any property listed either in the service, however members found to be deliberately targeting other members stock as a result of information garnered from this service will be removed.

Misrepresentation of Relationships:
Members may not represent themselves as being instructed to sell, rent, purchase any other members stock or listings without the express written permission of the listing member. Members found to be deliberately misrepresenting their possition will be removed.

Attachments:
It is easy to send or post attachments to your messages and posts within slack. However it is recommended that you post links to attachments rather than the attachment themselves. Slack allows you to link directly from the most popular shared drives such as dropbox, google drive, onedrive and so on. These extensions have been enabled by the admin for you to use.

Apps:
Slack is so much more than just a messaging system. It has the ability to help and assist you with your work and the organisation of your day. Slack works on the basis of apps, which can be added to the workspace to assist you. For example we have authorised the shared drive accounts, as well as calendar apps from Microsoft, Google. There are an ever increasing number of apps which can be added to Slack and we are keen to enable those which will help our members. If you wish for us to authorise an app to be added to slack for your use, please simply request the installation and it will be reviewed.

Notifications:
Notifications are a key part of Slack and getting them right for you is also important. To ensure you get the most out of your membership of AgentsOnly please be sure to read this very helpful article.

Fees:

Membership subscription is currently free for 1 year using the code EARLYADOPTER whilst we grow the community. However we ask for card details against a membership fee of £10 to ensure we protect our professional community. When you first join you may use the code EARLYADOPTER to receive a 100% discount for 12 months.

Membership Length:
Membership is a rolling monthly membership and you can cancel at anytime.

Sharing of Details or Login:

The information provided within this service is provided to members only in return for the membership subscription paid to AgentsOnly. Members found to be relaying information to 3rd parties who would otherwise qualify as members themselves will be suspended from the system and repeat offenders will be removed altogether.

Members found to be sharing login information in an attempt to avoid paying additional subscription fees will also be suspended from the system and repeat offenders will be removed from the system.

(We don't charge much and it's a legitimate business expense, so don't be cheap!)

General:

This statement describes rules for members of the community group known as AgentsOnly and the associate slack forum, located at agentsonlyuk.slack.com who register ("Community") and upload material, post comments, or provide other content ("Member Content") to the Service. The admin expects its Community members to observe the following rules ("Community Rules") on www.agentson.ly and any other websites operated by the owner, including but not limited to agentsonlyuk.slack.com and agentsonly

Violations of these guidelines may result in the removal of material, comments or other Member Content or termination of a member's use of and registration in the Community:

Be civil. The Society encourages open and candid discussions and debates. However, all communications should be respectful. Differences of opinion are okay; personal attacks are not. Comments or content that are violent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, derogatory, defamatory, or are racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable content will be removed.

Stay on topic. Comments, questions and contributions should be relevant to the topic being discussed. Keep in mind that this is not a place for unsolicited personal or commercial solicitation or advertising (e.g., “Win a free laptop”, etc.).

Don’t upload or post inappropriate content. If a user uploads inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable content to the community, such user may be banned from the Community. Admin may also edit or entirely remove such posts from any of the Services it controls.

No spam. No one likes seeing the same message posted to one or many articles, galleries or discussions.

Keep it legal. Participating in, suggesting, or encouraging any illegal activity is cause for immediate removal and termination of a member’s use of and registration in the Community.

Observe copyright and trademark law. The posting of copyrighted videos, photos, articles or other material beyond what is protected as fair use is prohibited, and Society may remove such posts from any of the Sites it controls. Do not pass off someone else’s trademark as your own.

Accuracy is important If you change roles, company, or local, please update your existing profile instead of creating a new account. If you require assistance you can request help via the admin.

Respect privacy. Do not post personal or any other information that you do not want made public and respect the privacy of other members and colleagues.

Let us know. Our Community team does monitor posts, but we may miss something. We encourage members to flag content which they feel violates any of the above Community Rules so we can review and take the appropriate action.

It’s your content. The views and opinions expressed in the community do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the community or its members. Please remember that any comments or content you share on this site are your sole responsibility. AgentsOnly accept no liability for information published by members within the service.

In addition, Community members are also required to read and abide by the complete Terms of Service of AgentsOnly, and persons who post User Content to the community and related services are expected to follow the complete terms of service of those respective services. The admin reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to delete, move, or edit any User Content that the community considers unacceptable or inappropriate, whether for legal or other reasons, on any of the sites or forums controlled by admin. “User Content” means material Community members upload, comments they post, or other content that Community members provide to the Community. Conduct by any user that, at the sole discretion of admin, restricts or inhibits any other user of the Service from using or enjoying the Service will not be permitted on any of the Services controlled by admin. Admin reserves the right to refuse access to the Service under its control or revoke Community membership to any user for any reason, including, without limitation, a reasonable belief that the user in question has violated these Community Rules, the Terms of Service, any other operating rules posted on the Service, or any of the copyright or trademark laws of the United Kingdom.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AGREEMENT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BY AGENTSONLY IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION AT ANY TIME. IF WE MAKE CHANGES TO THESE TERMS, WE WILL POST THE REVISED TERMS ON THE AGENTSONLY PLATFORM AND UPDATE THE “LAST UPDATED” DATE AT THE TOP OF THESE TERMS. IF WE MAKE ANY MATERIAL CHANGES THAT AFFECT YOUR USE OF THE AGENTSONLY SERVICES, AND YOU HAVE REGISTERED WITH US TO CREATE A AGENTSONLY ACCOUNT, WE WILL ALSO ENDEAVOR TO SEND AN E-MAIL TO YOU AT THE LAST E-MAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDED TO US PURSUANT TO THE AGREEMENT. ANY CHANGES TO THE AGREEMENT WILL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY FOR NEW USERS OF THE SITE AND/OR AGENTSONLY SERVICES AND WILL BE EFFECTIVE ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE PROVIDED ON THE APPLICABLE NOTICE OF SUCH CHANGES FOR EXISTING MEMBERS. WE MAY REQUIRE YOU TO PROVIDE CONSENT TO THE UPDATED AGREEMENT IN A SPECIFIED MANNER BEFORE FURTHER USE OF THE SITE AND/OR THE AGENTSONLY SERVICES IS PERMITTED. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY CHANGE(S) AFTER RECEIVING A NOTICE OF SUCH CHANGE(S), YOU SHALL STOP USING THE SITE AND/OR THE AGENTSONLY SERVICES. OTHERWISE, YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE SITE AND/OR AGENTSONLY SERVICES CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH CHANGE(S). PLEASE REGULARLY CHECK THE SITE TO VIEW THE THEN-CURRENT TERMS.
